"Bromance" (noun): A non-sexual relationship between two men that are unusually close. Bromance in cycling terms: two blokes training for the Cape Epic. By the time they arrive at the start line in March you can hardly tell the difference between them. They are wearing matching kit - right down to helmets, buffs, socks, glasses, the lot. And often even have matching bikes. They'll follow each other around and be separated for shortest time possible. They can almost finish each other's sentences and know what the other is thinking. It's kinda scary sometimes, but very funny at the most. And anyone doing the Epic can vouch that this is pretty normal. Even at the Epic info evening recently, one of the speakers mentioned that partners should have a "candlelit dinner" together to discuss what each one wants from the event, and what they expect of each other. There may be other connotations from the word, but when you hear "Bromance" being used about mountain bikers, it's all in the name of team work and Epic success :)
